FABRICE ARBAUD

Born in Romans in 1966, Fabrice Arbaud discovered the Bay of Saint Tropez when his parents settled there during the 70s. He spent his childhood in the hills of the Maures massif and on the tracks between the sea and the pine forest. Upon leaving school, and with his parents’ help, he decided to study fashion design in Paris. Out of all the classes, only drawing held his attention, particularly the nude classes in the studios, as he preferred to visit exhibitions and museums. Each occasion was a source of inspiration for a sketch, the old quarters of Paris, scenes of life, faces in cafés. But the call of the South could soon be heard again. Back home, he spends his time capturing on paper the soul that lives in each corner of Provence, each village street… However, pastel nudes in a boudoir ambiance remain his favourite subject.
